THE SATELLITE…
“God’s way to implement the
vision and strategy of Judea Harvest”
A satellite is a group
of likeminded pastors in a geographical area who collectively take
the responsibility to reach every home with the gospel of Jesus
Christ.
We established the
first satellite in October 1998 in Vryheid and have since
implemented 240 satellites, spread over 17 countries in
Africa.
The satellite system
is a proven effective model because it:
- Creates
spontaneous development: 95% of the satellites were already in
place and it was just a matter of explaining the vision and
strategy of Judea to them.
- Forges unity: How many times have we heard this phrase: “For the first time
we are succeeding to work together in unity.” This also releases
the collective anointing (Power) they need to win the lost in
their own Judea. (Acts 1:8/ Psalm 133)
- Recognizes God’s
authority system: God already placed the leadership in every
community who will obey His voice and be the instrument in His
hand to reach the lost. They have been called for the people in
their community’s and have the authority and anointing to get the
job done. They understand the needs of their communities. Judea
Harvest partners with the local leadership to be a resource to
help them accomplish their vision.
- Is an accountable
distribution network: You need a system that is accountable to
channel resources and opportunities to individuals at grassroots
level. To date 240 satellites across 17 African nations have been
established in partnership with approximately 6,000 churches and
1530 tents were placed in the safe environment of these
satellites.
- Shows visible
results: We believe that results are the outflow of God’s
approval and anointing. He said: “To those who believe these signs
shall follow….” The Godly signs in the Judea context are the
enormous number of evangelism outreaches conducted and the vast
number of souls that came into the kingdom of God through these
events. Our great joy is that all these souls flowed directly into
existing churches and church plants where they are now being
discipled.
- Example: Through the satellite system in Soweto, 153 new churches were
planted in 3 years. Whereas only 276 churches were planted the
previous 100 years!
These enormous
achievements were only possible through a godly given system and
godly men of God with a passion for the lost. We thank God every day
for the area coordinators, local coordinators, task forces and
leaders in the satellite network. They are the real
heroes!
